Creator God, on this Independence Day, we thank You for the blessings of liberty and for the beautiful resources of this land. We acknowledge that the vision of this nation has not been fully realized, and we pray for wisdom, courage, and strength to serve You faithfully. Remind us of our duty to promote the general welfare of all people, to see that justice and compassion reign, and to hear the cries of those who go unheard. May our patriotism be subject to Your law, and our loyalty to country never exceed our obedience to You. Guide our leaders with wisdom and integrity, and help us to use our freedom to love and serve our neighbors. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
